Explain the Situation in the Middle East Like Your Listener Is Ten Years Old

The Middle East is a term used in History and Geography to refer to a list of countries located in the area that expands from the north-east of Africa, across the Mediterranean Sea, and to the south-west of Asia. These countries are Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
The situation within this region has been complex through its whole history. There are examples of cooperation between the countries, such as Khartoum summit in 1967, when Egypt and Saudi Arabia decided to break the civil war in Yemen. Nevertheless, there are even a greater number of examples of disputes within the Middle East. As they have a remarkable impact on the world as a whole, it is important to be informed about them.
Some conflicts between and within particular countries have a way more significant impact on the world than the other ones.
For example, the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine manifested in a number of attacks in the last year is one of the disputes that have the greatest impact on the Western world. ''The violence has died down since then, but it hasn't gone w," claims CNN (Botehlo). In addition, the rise of the Islamic State, the organization that encourages religious war called jihad, is also one of the issues that arose in the Middle East and affect the whole world.
In conclusion, Middle East is the area consisted of countries that are engaged in both war actions and peaceful actions. Although they both have a huge impact on the world as a whole, the influence of the former is more significant. Therefore, it is essential to be informed about the situation in the Middle East.
