    travelling for medical assessment

    hello everybody. new to forum

Just heard from one of my hospital ward-mates (both in after strokes) that he has to travel to Edinburgh from Glasgow for his pip assessment.

thats me worried now as there is no way that I could manage that journey without using a taxi all the way. Is there no way to have this assessment take place more local?

I actually don't know - though they did a face2face assessment at my home (PIP2). Prior to that for DLA - 'they' paid and organised a taxi on account to collect me and take me to them and then a taxi back - I didn't pay anything - the taxi driver said it was all arranged.

Not sure how it works in Scotland.
