My direct payments goes into a separate joint account with my primary carer (my mother). THIS on advice from the council.

Despite 3 reviews over a year the DWP STILL seem unable to grasp my financial situation, and the fact that some DP money was reclaimed in between employees (and will be in the future, if not spent, it is still not countable). I swear they are THICK IN THE HEAD...

For folks reference my DP is dealt with via the DP officer and the accountant employed by the council.

Might it be prudent to get your DP officer and council accountant to write to the DWP confirming what you have told them. Of course it would have to be on headed paper. They may take notice of them.
