Jobcentre bosses warn of suicide risk among benefit claimants

A couple of interesting articles in the Guardian today. Hopefully people are starting to notice the appalling treatment we're getting.

It includes a copy of the actual memo which was sent as a result of one poor individual attempting suicide.

O-M-F-G! I knew we were in serious trouble & the road ahead was going to be pure hell for many. However, if someone at the Social thinks this then the situation is far worse than I could have imagined. Of course, more senior staff & the government will reject these claims or ignore them. I wonder if as a protest & out of sheer desperation we will see increasing cases of, well desperate acts, maybe even self-immolation.

i have seen this and it is not a good situation.

i am classed with depression and for many like me it is not good been forced in to a corner like this, when there is no way out of a believed situation then the worse can happen.

saw where M.P,s were highlighting mental health but it is no good doing this if they keep cutting vital services,
