Thread: Spammers are Back

  1. #91
And here we go again, a load of spam from "new members" supposedly from the USA, Spain and God knows where else.

Reported several obvious spam postings during the week but here we are at 5pm Friday evening and not one has been removed

Why does that not surprise me?

There was a pile yesterday all from the same username, which are still there, but I've not seen any today. (Yet).
I don't know everything. - But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

Another six overnight, all from one username.

Shame, I thought the tips and settings I had given them were working to send (most of) the spam to moderation automatically.

They seem to be out in force today.
I've just deleted 271 essay spam posts from the AutoCad site I moderate.
The spam filters had caught every one though so no one but moderators/admin could see them.

I have reported umpteen spam posts over the last week or so and it doesn't appear that even one has been deleted.
About time DLF get there fingers out and do something. I do wonder if they don't have a clue what moderating is all about.
Spammers are ruining a forum that is here to help folk tackle the benefit system amongst other issues.

NOTE TO MEMBERS, DO NOT CLICK ON ANY POSTS THAT ARE OBVIOUS SPAM.

And nothing ever gets deleted. I do wonder why we even bother.
