Thread: Sheltered placement scheme?

    Question Sheltered placement scheme?

Years ago, when I started my employment in IT, I used to be on something called the sheltered placement scheme. Basically, I was employed by the sponsor and got the full salary, but the employer was only billed for an agreed percentage, meant to be related to my output. At a guess, around 15 years ago, I was taken of the scheme and employed directly by the employer, because of my output, compared to colleagues, was to high. Does such a scheme still exist, or is there an equivalent today? Note, I am in Scotland.

That sounds a bit like the old Remploy factories.

As far as I know those old schemes have all been scrapped. (Remploy is still in existence but is a different thing now).

There may be other schemes that could help, depending on just what it is you are looking for.

If you could give a few more details of what you need, then we may be able to point you in the right direction.
I don't know everything. - But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.
