Well we told you it was about that much back in December so it shouldn't have been that big a surprise.

Don't hold your breath on the letter tomorrow, but do check the bank.

Backpayments often get made days before you get the letter.

Could the payment happen at any time of the day?. Halifax can be so silly.

I believe that they use the JSA Fast Payment system for arrears and emergencies, so yes it could be any time of day.

If I remember correctly the DWP release FP's at 2 hour intervals from 10 AM to 6 PM?
(I once got a FP at 18:05 following a DWP error).

It's a bugger waiting when you know it's due isn't it?
Probably best for you peace of mind just to check in the morning then again at about 18:30.

    Im such a silly sausage.

I will get back-pay on TUESDAY, 3 payments on the day. Normal ESA amount a months Premium and the back-pay all in one!, so thats where i got the 3 advanced thingy from xDD, the DWP are going to get tired of me ringing them, but he just explained perfectly too much.

They do sometimes make backpayments more than one go.

This is because it needs special authorisation to make large payments so they make 3 or 4 smaller ones.
Stupid because it's the same overall, but that's the way the computer makes them do it.

I hadn't mentioned that because it's usually payments over £5K where that happens.

Oh well you can spend the weekend in antici.....
