Thread: DWP missed call

    DWP missed call

We had 2 phone calls left on answer machine while we were out yesterday from DWP.No message left or a phone number to ring them back. The only thing we can think it might be about is the ESA backpay .Anyone had a phone call from them.I think if it's important they will either try again or write to Hubby.

There was a thread started over the weekend about a missed call and text message from the DWP, but it seems to have gone missing now?

As you say they'll try again or write if it's important.

TBH personally I wouldn't bother trying to ring them back, the phone jockey you eventually get probably won't know what it was about either, especially if it came from the jobcentre.
But of course it's up to you if you want to ring and ask.

    EDIT
Found that post about a missed call, it wasn't a new thread which is why I couldnt find it first time, that one was probably about a WFI but who knows, Mory hasn't been back yet:

Thanks Nuke .We got a brown letter in the post this morning but it was only documents being returned .At least we know the forms have been received
.We weren’t going to ring DWP because as you say Nuke they’re only phone jockeys and wouldn’t have a clue about anything.
I did see a friend who sent his forms back a couple of weeks before us would and he did ring them and was told the end of April would probably be when he got a decision

So another brown envelope arrived today .Inside were copies of 2 of the page of the form we filled in.
High lighted were 2 things they wanted to know more about. They mentioned date that were supposed to be on the front of the form but they didn't send the front back . They want photo copies of hubbys ISA between certain dates to check we didn't have more than £16.500 savings (if only) but she did mention £5.500 no idea what that was for and the other was I wrongly ticked a box saying we had we had had an insurance claim when we hadn't Hubby phoned them and seemingly got someone that new what they were talking about ,He was told to send the form back with a covering letter explaining the mistake on the insurance claim and to send a photo copy of his bank book. Also he forgot to sign the form.At least we know that they are looking into Hubbys claim.I still don't think we will get any back pay but we will see it through til the end when the brown envelope arrives with a yay or a nay.
