Natural Migration ESA Support Group to UC, then WCA reassessment

In Nov last year I moved to a full service area and claimed UC. I was on ESA support group for 6yrs prior and Income Support for 15yrs before that.
I was never given a reassessment date for WCA when awarded ESA. My conditions are severe, lifelong and I couldn't even attend school never mind work. I am bedbound for over 20yrs.

Support group was moved over to LCWRA on UC.

Despite not having any reasssment date for ESA, UC magicked up a date exactly 6 months to the day after claiming UC, funny that. My form and tons of strong evidence has been delivered and signed for today.

My question is, does my LWCRA end now and won't be paid til they decide the outcome of this WCA or does it carry on being paid til they make a decision? I can't find any info on this.

It will continue until the decision.

Excellent, thank you for your quick response. Mind you, I suppose if they drop me down to LCW I'd have to pay it back to the decision date. Hoping that someone with some sense does a quick paper based assesment and re-awards LCWRA! I had that for my indefinite high care/high mobility DLA to PIP, paper based 10yrs+ award enhanced rate of both.

I basically gave the UC WCA a lot of the same info and evidence that I gave for PIP just fitted it better for WCA purposes. I can't really give them new info because nothing's changed and won't change. There's not even any evidence based treatment for my conditions, that's also backed up by a recent GP letter, specialists reports etc.
Despite this, I am majorly stressed going through it all again.

They are never quite happy until you have had a WCA under UC so that it can be noted on the system. (It makes their files 'untidy' if you haven't).

At least they correctly added the LCWRA without insisting that you had one first.

They'll keep paying LCWRA until the date any new decision is made.
If it should change then they will pay the new rate from that decision date.

With UC that's going to be somewhere in the middle of your monthly period, so there should be no overpayment made.
UC is paid in arrears a week after your monthly period, so they have that week (plenty of time) to adjust anything before it's paid.

I was moved from ESA/SG to UC /LWCRA nearly 2 years ago and havnt had a WCA while I've been on UC..I think they sent a form to my doctor but have never asked me to attend a WCA.

I sent my form by special next day delivery on the 10th of June, I was surprised to get my decision so fast. An hour ago I had a UC notification and knew it could only be that. 20 days after receiving the form! So they obviously did a paper based asessment. I got LCWRA. Big relief. Although it doesn't say how long for, just 'you may be reassessed in the future'. Is that just a standard thing in the online letter?

There are complaints going on (at stakeholder level) about how little information they give you in the UC journal.

In particular the fact that they often don't tell the claimant about their rights to MR/appeal.
(Or in some cases even refuse outright to carry out an MR, which is of course against the law).

You could ask on your journal what your 'Prognosis date' is, that's the date when you are next due to be assessed.
As you are LCWRA you will not have a work coach, so anything you put on your journal should go to a case manager who should know what a prognosis date is.
