    (14) You need to bring ridiculous amounts of medical and disability equipment just to stay over for one night and ask yourself is it worth it? People joke by asking you if you are moving in...

“We haven’t had anyone like you staying here before, EVER! This is a first for us..”

    (16) You get used to little children asking loud questions about you.

For example “Mummy why is that person in a pushing chair?” “Mummy what’s wrong with her?”

Doesn’t get a reply so shouts loudly: “MUMMY I SAID WHATS WRONG WITH HER?”

Mother is always very embarrassed and whispers “Not now darling..” “It’s rude to..erm just be quiet..”

    (17) You enjoy classical music and listen to it after a painful day to wind down. However when you hear the beautiful and timeless Vivaldi’s 4 Seasons “Spring” it gives You nightmares of being on eternal hold whilst on the phone to DWP.

Piano Concerto No.21 In C “Elvira Madigan” has the exact same effect and reminds you of the time you were Pipped and had to wait forever to speak to someone from DWP.

Instead of the calming relaxing effect you are now sweating and in pain worrying about your recent application..

    (18) You’ve been waiting to be served then someone pushes in front of you and once they’ve paid says

“Oh sorry I didn’t see you!”

You check to make sure you aren’t wearing the Harry Potter invisibility cloak you got last Christmas. Once confirmed, you think about running over their toes more than a few times.....

    (20) You are so fed up of strangers asking: “So... do you live in a specially adapted house?”

You decide to level the playing field by saying: “No actually, I live on the 13th floor and there’s no lift...”

The look on the other persons face is priceless and consequently you feel much better!

    (21) You’ve spent so much time sleeping lately due to illness that you really can’t figure out whether it’s nearly 7 o’clock in the morning or in the evening....
