AccessAble (formally Disabled Go) is the UK’s most detailed accessibility checker, covering over 10000s of places to visit

Through our website you'll find detailed access information to thousands of venues across the UK and the Republic of Ireland: shops, pubs, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, railway stations, hotels, universities, hospitals and more.

Crucially, each place featured on www.AccessAble.co.uk has been personally visited and assessed by independent surveyors to ensure accurate, detailed information is collected.

AccessAble are working across the UK to tackle social isolation and inequality by providing better information. It was founded by wheelchair user Dr Gregory Burke in response to his frustration about the lack of information for disabled people trying to access new places.

AccessAble’s App and Website, is free, and aims to answer everyone’s questions about the accessibility of places they would like to visit. It has been developed by the disabled people who use it, reflecting the needs of people with a wide range of impairments.

By using the Detailed Access Guides people can find out whether accessible parking bays are available, how you would need to walk to get to an entrance, if a hearing loop is available at reception, what side the transfer space is in an accessible toilet, whether there are tactile lift buttons, if staff have received disability training, if somewhere plays background music, if flashing fire alarms are available and if there are places to sit and rest.
And the App, available from Google Play and the Apple App is giving thousands of people who need access Information a little bit of spontaneity back in their lives.
