Can I be recalled to hospital for not taking medication?

    Hi,

It says on my C.T.O. that i must have the injection as a part of my C.T.O.

But I just read on google that In general you cannot legally be treated without your consent if you're on a CTO: You can't be given a condition that forces you to have treatment. You can't be recalled to hospital just because you refuse treatment.

    Can I or not?

I don't know just what you have been reading but it is wrong, a CTO is a legaly binding Order.

If your CTO says that you must take a certain medication then you must take that medication or you can/will be returned to hospital.

This applies to you as it is specified as a condition on your CTO.
It is a condition of your being out of hospital that you have those injections.

(Even if the CTO does not specify that you must take a certain medication then your responsible clinician can recall you to hospital if they think it it would make you 'unwell' not to take it).

If you are recalled to hospital then after 72 hours you will either be:
    1. Discharged but you still have to comply with the conditions of your CTO.
    2. Kept in hospital under your original section order and the CTO revoked.
