    ESA accessment

Hello, Has anyone got any information regarding ESA paper based assessments? What does my doctor need to state in the letter. And what was your overall experience? Thank you

I've had two assessments so far for ESA and both were decided on paper. I didn't ask for it, they just did it. I included letters from my specialists detailing my conditions and prognosis, but that was all.

As noisynoodle says they may decide to do it off their own bat if your evidence is strong enough.

Only if/when they send you an appointment for a face to face assessment is it then time to think about GP letters supporting a Home or Paper Based assessment.

You have to wait for that appointment letter first before making any request, it tells you that on page 19 of the ESA50.
I don't know everything. - But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

Thanks. Basically, I was given a home visit appointment but due to incapacity it's unsuitable at present, so I have received a letter. My GP was advised to email for a paper based... but has no guidelines re the information that should be sent. Will a general letter outlining reasons and current medical condition do?

Thank you. They had plenty evidence, but three years ago my GP requested a home visit and no new information has been sent since then.
