    National insurance contributions

Went on the government gateway website yesterday and checked my pension date etc only to find those GRUNTS at the DWP have note credited my NI account with any contributions for the last 9 years and probably haven’t made any for this financial year either ( 2019 - 2020 ) . What does anyone suggest I do about this . Go to my MP perhaps :confused

The new tax year starts on April 6th. What was you on the last 9 years you have missing ESA contribution related ? If it was I suggest you phone them and send copies of your ESA yearly award letters. I think this happens a lot so it's probably a good thing you checked.

Yes, I had the same problem, as have many others.

    I got it sorted easily.

There is a template to use here, and the email to send it to is in the first post above it -

Seems you have to keep reminding them Nuke since I last asked them, they haven't paid it for the last 3 years it's meant to be automatically added but clearly someone is holding it to gain interest or investment who knows.

Yes, I am intending to check mine again after April. If nothing else it gives a written record to add to the ones I already requested.

It's not about money or gaining interest at this stage, it's only a paper record and no money changes hands between DWP and HMRC.
Not doing it is simply lazyness/incompetence/poor computer programme.
