PIP - Can I ask for a higher award without new application?

    Hello all.

I am currently receiving PIP at higher daily living and lower mobility. My needs have changed in the last year and I believe I would be able to get the higher award for mobility.

Whilst I am confident of a change, I am not hugely excited about the potential prospect of going through a whole new application or a "change in circumstances". Even more so because I have a rare 10 year award.

I know I have probably answered my own questions, but could you send in information and requests for a higher award without a new application? Or would I basically have to start again?

You are obliged by law to notify them of any changes anyway; for better or worse. Obviously, yours will be worse, so it should entitle you to an increase.

    Good luck.
