Well, we have been blessed with our new little girl, she must have been meant for us.
We have had her home for 2 1/2 weeks now and she is a dream. House trained, obedient, loving. Travels well in the car, just lays down, doesn't go upstairs or get on the furniture, no chewing, adores playing with her toys. Shows none of the traits that we were warned could happen with Romanian rescues.

We think she hadn't lived on the streets fending for herself for very long until she was rescued.
Our home and our hearts are now full again.

Thanks, those white feet have spots on them, bit like spotty socks.
Yes, she does have soft sloppy eyes and when she looks at you, well, your heart melts.
We have been truly blessed with her. It was meant to be.

She's adorable and will give you many happy years of fun and love.I might of missed it but what's her name?
I'm pleased she has settled down with you so well and not showing any signs of stress.

The Mayflower Sanctuary where you got her from is about 10 miles from where I live and it has a very good reputation.

Thanks, her name is Kizzy, we changed it from her sanctuary name of Sissy.
We ended up at Mayflower in our hunt because so many rescues turned us down due to my disability and I ended up heartbroken several times.
Mayflower was different, they accepted my disability and didn't discriminate. They do such good work for the poor unfortunate animals in their care. At the moment they are raising funds to get 2 Romanian dogs over here that have health problems to get them fit to travel. One is a puppy with 2 broken front legs that have mended wrongly and nothing more can be done over there so funds are being raised for vets fees over here, She is a gorgeous little girl and deserves a painless fulfilled life of love. She is fit to travel and leaving 3rd Sept. Needless to say I have donated a little to help her.
Just wish I could afford to help all those poor dogs. It breaks my heart to see them in a situation that is through no fault of their own.

I can't praise Mayflower enough, everything is spot on. Beautiful place with lovely accommodation for the animals in their care. We had to jump through hoops to adopt as they are so particular and so they should be. Mounds of paperwork etc, thorough home check and so on.

We visited her almost daily for 2 weeks before we brought her home so she would get to know us. For us it was an almost 60 mile round trip but it was worth it.

Kizzy is still being a dream to have and is showing none of the traits we were warned she may have.
