    Bedroom Tax

Where are we at with the bedroom tax?
I've been told that it is being abolished this year but I can't find anything on this.
    Is it wishful thinking?

    I don't think it is
Labour have promised to abolish it but as they didn't get in..
I kept being told by all sorts of people that they thought it had been scrapped, when I had to downsize due to it.
Pretty cross right now, as I am currently sleeping in living room.
They don't take into account that families can change/just because children fly the nest, , doesn't mean they may never need to return or other circumstances like mine where I currently have a grandchild hefe

Who told you what? From my experience it is still alive and kicking.

A conversation with a person on benefits who told me it was being abolished this year - like I said.

It was news to me and I have looked but can find no proof of this.

I should not take that as concrete proof. It is alive and kicking and why would they abolish it? Its another way of making money for the govt.

I haven't taken it as concrete proof - I actually doubted it - which is why I queried it on here.
